ABOUT ME
My name is Adnan H. Abdulwahid. I am a Ph. D. graduate (Aug 2016) from the University of Iowa. My PhD thesis advisor is Miodrag Iovanov, and my research interests are in Hopf Algebras in Category Theory, Comodules and Corings, Representation Theory of Quivers, Commutative Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, Quantum Groups, Tensor categories, and Topological Quantum Field Theory. I have two master’s degrees of Science in Mathematics: one conferred in May 16, 2014 from the University of Iowa, and one (in Topology) conferred in July 26, 2005 from Al-Mustansiriya University.I was a one year lecturer at Iowa State University (from 08/16/2016–05/16/2017) teaching Math 207 (Matrices and Linear Algebra) course, Math 165 (Calculus 1), Math 317 (Theory of Linear Algebra) and Math 265 (Calculus 3).I have about 9 years teaching experience. During my jobs as a lecturer, as an independent math instructor, as a substitute teacher, as a TA and as a math tutor, I got experience with instructing a wide variety of mathematics courses. I also was an adviser for 4th year undergraduate computer science students for one year. Currently, I am an assistant professor position at University of Thi-Qar at the department of mathematics teaching Group Theory and Ring Theory courses and advising under graduate students.
